오픈히스토리컬맵에 기여하시려면 우선 지도 홈페이지로 가셔서, 원하시는 지역을 확대한 뒤 '편집' 버튼을 클릭하세요. 이전에 오픈스트리트맵을 편집해본 경험이 있으시다면, 오픈히스토리컬맵의 편집도 그와 몹시 유시합니다. 다만 시간 요소를 다루기 위해 약간의 변화를 주었으므로 태그 가이드라인에서 보다 자세한 정보를 알아보시기 바랍니다.
