I am working on a propeller design, and I've came through Jblade which helped me in the airfoil design, yet as I can remember, xflr5 can also do this...
I found that Jblade is based on qblade and xflr5/xfoil... so does this mean the jblade is more accurate? Or everyone of these 3 softwares has a specific field of application?
Propeller design integrates effects of various airfoils and planforms and twists incorporated into the blade-element theory (e.g. BEMT). Jblade seems to be doing the complete propeller design (hopefully), but Xfoil (Xflr5) solves only the airfoil part of the problem.
If Jblade boasts using Xflr5 in its section analysis, and if the code/software is validated, it possibly beats a quick implementation that one could come up with in Excel, Python, Matlab, C++, etc.
