CATIA (Computer Aided Three-dimensional Interactive Application) is a CAD/CAM/CAE/PLM software developed by the French company Dassault Systèmes.

It is widely used in automobile and aeroplane construction, intended for multidiscipline use including: surfacing & shape design, electrical, fluid and electronic systems design, mechanical engineering and systems engineering.

Plugins for CATIA can be developed with the commercial API called CAA from the same company. CATIA has also a reduced, but free API called Automation Interface that can be used via COM.
