The key =* is used to tag legal access restrictions for buses (vehicle class) that are not acting as public transport vehicle (for the latter see bus=*).

Curiosities

This tag originated from a literal translation of the Italian supplementary traffic sign Autobus turistici[1], which can be understood to be synonymous to a coach (it is a description not the usual translation of coach, which would be pullman). It is actually a definition (buses for tourists, i.e. not in regular service).
