For best practice please use a common SharePoint site to share an shared folder for everyone in OneDrive.
That folder sync'ed can't be removed by member, especially if you map it via GPO to your user OneDrive. (Intune got a setting to auto sync such folder too)
I state that as to have a shared folder inside an employee X account that everyone work in is not a best practice, what if you lock the account ?
