I've been connecting Windows devices to an Active Directory with roaming profiles for a while. I was previously using Windows Server 2016 with about 80 devices logged into it.

I am looking to buy a new server. Some research is telling me I need to buy a Client Access License ($30-$50) for each device. This doesn't seem right; I've never needed that before. When do you need a Client Access License?
