Suggestions solutions for high current bed of nails style testing
I'm trying to create a tester board that will hold some power path components (DC input caps, IGBTs, current sensors) that are normally on the Unit Under Test (UUT).
I'd like to connect these components to the UUT through some spring-loaded probes.…

What happens when the current fed to a device is higher than the specified value?
I have a solar panel which provides the output of up to 500mA with 6v potential difference. .5A is the maximum current output, and the usual output will be around 300-350mA. Can I use it as a power source to run a computer-fan which is specified to…

Any Hazards Associated with a High Current Conductor
For a conductor carrying a low voltage (say 12V) and high current (say >500A), are there any hazards that we should beware of? I assume it is safe to touch the uninsulated conductor even when it is carrying a high current. I know when an inductor…

How to shut off a valve safely in the power outage
In a scenario of sudden power loss, my latching valve will be still open by default. That valve operates with 5V, and needs 0.5A current with duration of 0.1s to be shut off. How to do that in a cost effective and safe way?

How much current would give a little shock
I just read on a website that 5mA is enough to give a little shock but I have touched 650mA and nothing happened.
Does that mean that 650mA becomes too small when I touch it due to resistance of my body?
So, how many amps would give a shock?
